Port of Vancouver Drayage, Coordinated with Devanning & Storage

Efficient container moves between the port and our Delta facility, coordinated with devanning and storage, so your clients' boxes spend less time sitting at the terminal.

The problem we solve

Every extra day at the terminal costs you

Once a container's free time runs out, storage and per-diem charges start adding up, and delays ripple into the warehouse and on to the customer. Short, well-planned moves between the terminal and the warehouse are where most of that time and money is won or lost.

Because your drayage is coordinated with our own Delta facility, we plan pick-up, devanning and the empty return together instead of as three separate jobs, which is especially useful for overseas partners who can't be on the ground in Vancouver.

How a DGC drayage move works

1 · Book

Send the container number, terminal, size and where it's going. We confirm availability and price.

2 · Pick up

We track release and holds and coordinate collection of the container from the terminal.

3 · Deliver or devan

Drop at your site, or bring it to our Delta warehouse to de-stuff, transload or cross-dock.

4 · Return the empty

The empty goes back to the designated depot or terminal, and you get confirmation that the move is closed.

Drayage FAQ

What do you need from me to quote a container move?

The terminal, container size and type, approximate weight, delivery address (or "to DGC warehouse"), the vessel ETA or availability date, and whether you need devanning or storage once it arrives.

Can you devan the container at your warehouse?

Yes. Containers can come straight to our Delta facility for de-stuffing, transloading or cross-docking, then storage, fulfillment or delivery.

I'm an overseas forwarder. Who do you invoice?

Partners choose per shipment: we bill the Canadian end-client directly (Option A) or we bill you (Option B). See the partner program.

Do you handle the empty return?

Yes. We coordinate the empty return to the depot or terminal named by the shipping line and confirm once it's done.

Tell us what's arriving and where it needs to go.

Send a few details about your Canada-bound freight and we'll come back with a plan and a price.
